Meine “Salto” Violine von Mira und Gideon habe ich ganz zufällig bei der Klanggestalten-Ausstellung kennengelernt und habe nicht lange zweifeln müssen, ob wir zwei zusammengehören. Zu meiner großen Freude wurde dieses wunderbare Instrument zu dem Zeitpunkt noch nicht vergeben und seitdem wurden wir sehr gute Freunde. Die Geige entwickelt sich wunderbar, begleitet mich bei unterschiedlichsten Projekten und sammelt dabei viele Komplimente. Ich freue mich auf die kommenden Jahre mit der Violine und bedanke mich ganz herzlich bei den Geigen-“Eltern” für das meisterhafte Handwerk, Verständnis meiner Wünsche und deren herzlichen Umgangasart.

My experience with Mira and Gideon has been wonderful: they are both very attentive to what a musician wants in an instrument, and this is exactly the kind of relationship I wanted with my luthiers. I have had my cello “Toro” for half a year now, and it continues to develop new depth, colors, richness, and power every day. At every stage of the process, I have been able to explain to Mira and Gideon what adjustments I felt were necessary, and they have responded each time with sensitivity and precise workmanship to realize changes that went far beyond my expectations. It’s been a marvelous, exciting journey!

My new cello gives me everything I ask for and in the way that only the finest instruments can, it often shows me more than I imagined, especially now that I have been playing it for quite some time. It encourages me to play with greater variety of color and dynamic range, it is easy to control, and at the same time I don’t feel like I am in control or that I have mastered it, rather I feel like an inspired collaborator. Every day your cello makes me listen closer and with greater interest. It is capable of staggering clarity, brilliance, warmth, and richness of sound.

Mira and Gideon are such wonderful, warm-hearted people, you’re missing out on something if youhaven’t met them yet! And obviously, they’re also outstanding luthiers with a relentless drive to refinetheir craft and understanding of the musician’s needs. To me, their instruments have been essential,reliable and inspiring companions on my way into professional life. serving all possible musical demandsfrom orchestral flexibility to soloistic radiance and versatility in chamber music. We’ve been through allthe highs and lows of the modern music business together and I’m so grateful for having had such greatsupport on the way, both from the instruments but also from Mira and Gideon. Ich bin wirklich sehr glücklich, dass ich Euch und damit auch der “Nero” begegnet bin. Jedesmal, wenn ich dieses Instrument in der Hand habe, erfüllt mich eine schiere Spielfreude, bin inspiriert und gerührt von der Seele, die darin schlummert. Das ist einfach wunderbar!

Ich war immer zufrieden mit meine alte italienischen Violine und hätte nie gedacht, dass mir eine neue Violine besser gefallen kann, bis ich die Geige von Mira und Gideon kennengelernt habe. Sie lässt sich sehr leicht spielen und gibt mir mehr Freiheit beim Musizieren. Meine Geige ist Model Bergonzi und hat einen sehr strahlende Klang. Ich habe viele Freude damit.

I couldn’t be happier with my violin. After years of playing on instruments on loan from generous foundations, it is a pleasure to own a violin I love so much.

I am so grateful to have met Gideon. I was ready to move on from my Testore and found in their violin the type of sound I was looking for. Its sound is polished like an old italian even though the violin was but a few month old when I received it. A characteristic of all the instruments I have seen them make. This violin has become a dear friend.

I commissioned Gideon and Mira in the spring of 2014 to make a copy of the beautiful Michel’Angelo Bergonzi I have the privilege of playing on. Meticulously crafted with exceptional varnishing, the copy is a spitting image of the original. Tonally, I am extremely pleased with the result. Fantastic projection with many different layers of colour and clarity.

Gideon and Mira’s violin(s) possess a powerful and complex depth and fullness to their tone that is, in my opinion, unique to the modern instruments that I have heard and played. Yet they compromise nothing in power, projection, and brilliance even in the upper registers. In my opinion, and that of everyone that I have shown these instruments to, the work of this young couple is bound for success and recognition in the very near future.

Mira and Gideon make violins that are a delight to play, beautiful to see, and wonderful to hear. I took delivery of my Gruszow cello in 2013 and was excited to know that it bore the same beautiful sound and meticulous workmanship seen in her previous creations. Through the experience of having been as cellist herself, Mira Gruszov is able to apply this invaluable insight to her vision and creativity as a luthier and her sensitivity to the needs of the player. My Gruszow cello, with it’s depth of expression and ease of playing, is a pleasure and can truly be considered an artist’s instrument

Le violoncelle Hector de Mira Gruszow a une sonorité chaleureuse, une bonne projection et est facile à jouer. Ces qualités ne m’ont jamais fait défaut, et se sont bonifiées depuis son acquisition en 2012. Hector est l’instrument avec lequel je travaille quotidiennement, à l’orchestre comme en musique de chambre.

Je connais les violons de Mira Gruszow depuis plusieurs années et j’ai récemment eu l’occasion de jouer un de ses derniers instruments, qui est à l’égal de la plus belle lutherie qui se fait actuellement, riche, profond, d’une qualité de réponse et de couleurs exceptionnelle, adapté autant à la musique de chambre qu’à l’orchestre ou au solo. Je suis particulièrement sensible à l’écoute de Mira Gruszow lors de nos rencontres, véritable point d’intersection entre l’instrument et le musicien, toujours dans le but d’offrir le meilleur pour que la musique puisse s’exprimer librement.
